SEND Teaching Assistant – Milton Keynes

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Milton Keynes. You will work with pupils aged 4‑19 who have Autism Spectrum Condition and social communication difficulties, helping them achieve their learning and personal development goals.

Key responsibilities

• Support students with autism and social communication needs across a wide age range.
• Assist with classroom activities and deliver personalised learning programmes.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence.
• Provide personal care support when required.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff.

Required profile

• Experience in a support, care, education or SEND setting is highly desirable.
• Patient, empathetic and proactive attitude.
• Comfortable delivering personal care support.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential.

• Full‑time role with a temporary contract that may become permanent.
• Start date in September 2026.
• Inclusive pay rate of £92.63‑£100 per day (including statutory holiday pay).
