About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a high‑needs primary class in Bebington, Wirral. The role runs from September 2026 to December 2026 and offers full‑time, on‑site support for pupils with additional needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance to pupils with autism, speech and language difficulties, and other SEND requirements.
- Help students access the curriculum, adapt learning materials and encourage participation.
- Support the development of pupils' social and emotional skills.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and support staff to plan and deliver inclusive activities.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with SEND pupils in a school setting.
- Patient, caring and resilient attitude.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
