SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Camden)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a forward‑thinking primary school in Camden, London. The role starts in September and focuses on providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tailored support to pupils with Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and SEMH.
• Work closely with class teachers to adapt learning activities and resources.
• Implement targeted interventions that promote academic progress and social development.
• Encourage positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence.
• Maintain effective communication with the SENCO, parents and external professionals.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant in a primary setting.
• Patient, nurturing and resilient approach to behaviour management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to inclusive education and supporting every child to succeed.
