SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Manchester)

About the role

Aspire People is recruiting experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support primary‑school pupils with additional needs from September 2026. The role involves providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support to help children access the curriculum, develop independence and feel confident in the school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small‑group assistance for pupils with autism, ADHD, communication and learning needs.
• Support emotional regulation, positive behaviour and transitions during lessons, breaktimes and other school activities.
• Implement differentiated activities and targeted interventions to aid curriculum access.
• Record and report pupil progress while working closely with class teachers and SENCOs.

Required profile

• Recent experience supporting pupils with SEND in a UK primary school.
• Strong understanding of individualised SEND support and ability to manage challenging behaviour.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach with excellent relationship‑building skills.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous.
