SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Medway)

About the role

We are partnering with several primary schools in Medway to provide experienced SEND Teaching Assistants. The positions start after the half‑term break and run until the end of the academic year, offering both day‑to‑day supply work and longer‑term placements.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
• Assist teachers in delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Manage classroom behaviour and implement strategies for ADHD and challenging behaviour.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to senior staff.
• Collaborate with school staff to create an inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with children who have SEND, ADHD, or additional learning needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying school schedules and placement lengths.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere.
