SEND Teaching Assistant – Specialist Education Support

About the role
We are seeking compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join specialist schools across Kent and Medway. In this role you will support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering personalised learning activities.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to learners with SEND.
- Help create and maintain an inclusive, safe, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor student progress and report observations to senior staff.
- Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
Required profile
- Genuine passion for working with learners who have additional needs.
- Empathy, patience and a strong commitment to inclusive education.
- Relevant experience in a SEND setting or a personal connection that drives your motivation.
