About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistants to support students with special educational needs (SEN) in dedicated SEND schools across Manchester. You will work closely with classroom teachers and SEN professionals to deliver tailored education, health and care plans.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and group support for pupils with a range of SEN profiles.
- Assist in implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Support teachers with behaviour management and student engagement.
- Promote an inclusive, positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with speech therapists, educational psychologists and other SEN specialists.
- Track and report on student progress and development.
Required profile
- Experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proactive, adaptable and compassionate approach.
- Optional experience in healthcare or care‑worker roles with SEN populations.
