SEND Teaching Assistant – Warrington (September Start)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to join specialist schools and SEND provisions across Warrington from September 2026. The role involves supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping them achieve confidence, independence and academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to pupils with additional needs.
• Work one‑to‑one and in small intervention groups.
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and development.
• Implement behaviour and support plans.
• Encourage engagement, confidence and independence.
• Collaborate with teaching and support staff.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Background in schools, care settings, support work, residential care or youth work is desirable.
• Patient, positive and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
