SEND Tutor – 1:1 Special Educational Needs Support

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for compassionate SEND Tutors to deliver one‑to‑one tuition to children and young people across Wirral. You will work directly with learners who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities, tailoring each session to support confidence, engagement and academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised 1:1 tuition sessions for learners with SEND.
• Adapt teaching materials and approaches to meet individual needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and speech‑language requirements.
• Monitor and report on pupil progress, adjusting programmes as needed.
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment in line with safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (desirable).
• Experience delivering one‑to‑one tuition.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS with Update Service.
• Two professional child‑related references.
