SEND Tutor – 1:1 Specialist Tutoring (Part‑time)

About the role
We are seeking qualified SEND Tutors to deliver high‑quality one‑to‑one tuition for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in Chester. The role offers flexible part‑time hours and the chance to make a tangible difference in learners’ confidence and academic progress.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised 1:1 lessons tailored to each learner’s SEND profile.
- Adapt teaching strategies to overcome barriers such as anxiety, disengagement, or missed education.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to students, parents and any overseeing professionals.
- Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment in line with safeguarding policies.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable).
- Experience working with SEND or additional learning needs is advantageous.
- Previous UK teaching or tutoring experience.
- Creative, patient and flexible approach to teaching.
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
