SEND Tutor & Mentor – Yeovil, Somerset

About the role

Quantum Scholars is expanding its Alternative Provision services across Somerset and seeks dedicated SEND Tutors, Mentors and Support Workers to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition and emotional support to young people facing barriers to mainstream education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one tuition and mentoring focused on SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma and related needs.
• Deliver academic and emotional support within EOTAS and Alternative Provision programmes.
• Conduct sessions primarily in students' homes or suitable community settings, with occasional online tuition.
• Travel across Yeovil and surrounding areas to meet referral demands throughout the academic year.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children or young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
• Ability to travel locally; a vehicle and driving licence are advantageous.
