SENDCO – Special Educational Needs Coordinator – Full‑time (Day Rate £250‑£300)

About the role
Prospero Teaching is partnering with a unique Waldorf‑inspired primary school in Greenwich to recruit an experienced SENDCO. You will lead the provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, ensuring inclusive practice across the whole school.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and review the school’s SEND policy and individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Coordinate assessments, reviews and statutory compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Liaise with parents, teachers, support staff and external agencies to secure appropriate interventions.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive teaching strategies.
- Monitor progress of pupils with SEND and report outcomes to senior leadership.
Required profile
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to work towards it.
- Proven experience supporting children with SEND in a UK school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEND legislation and EHCP management.
- Ability to organise and lead multi‑agency meetings.
- Effective communication with families and professionals.
