Senior Account Handler – Construction/Care

About the role

As a Senior Account Handler you will support both existing and new clients across construction, care and related sectors. Working closely with Account Executives, you will ensure insurance requirements are accurately captured and delivered, helping clients manage risk while fostering trusted relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate documentation for new clients, translating insurance needs into clear specifications.
• Obtain renewal terms, research market alternatives and create client presentations for review.
• Coordinate renewal quotes and mid‑term adjustments, keeping internal systems up‑to‑date.
• Manage insurer queries, confirm cover, process policies and follow up on outstanding documentation.
• Review policy documentation from insurers for accuracy before forwarding to clients.
• Handle account queries and credit‑control matters, escalating issues to Account Managers as needed.
• Apply relevant legal, regulatory and internal policy requirements when managing contracts.

Required profile

• Experience in larger commercial or corporate insurance across multiple classes of business.
• Professional insurance qualifications such as CII (Cert CII preferred; progress towards Dip CII or ACII advantageous).
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks governing insurance contracts.
