Senior Account Handler - Construction/Care

About the role

As a Senior Account Handler based in Glasgow, you will support existing clients and drive new business opportunities across construction, manufacturing, hospitality, leisure and care sectors. Working closely with Account Executives, you will ensure insurance requirements are accurately captured and delivered.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate documentation for new clients, translating insurance needs into clear specifications.
• Obtain renewal terms, research market alternatives and create client presentations for review.
• Coordinate renewal quotes and mid‑term adjustments, maintaining up‑to‑date records in internal systems.
• Manage insurer queries, confirm cover, process policies and follow up on outstanding documentation.
• Review policy documents from insurers for accuracy before forwarding to clients.
• Handle account queries, credit control matters and escalate issues to Account Managers as needed.
• Apply relevant legal, regulatory and internal policy requirements when managing contracts.

Required profile

• Experience in larger commercial or corporate insurance covering multiple classes of business.
• Preferably holds a CII certification; progress towards Dip CII or ACII is advantageous.
