Senior Account Manager – Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our specialist communications and stakeholder engagement consultancy in Bristol. You will work on planning, regeneration and built‑environment projects, helping clients shape the conversation around development through clear messaging and effective engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with planning consultancies, developers, housing providers and other built‑environment clients.
• Lead communications‑led engagement programmes supporting planning applications, consultations and development proposals.
• Shape key messages, narratives and supporting materials for internal and external audiences.
• Coordinate stakeholder activities such as events, workshops, exhibitions, surveys and digital engagement.
• Oversee creation of consultation materials, briefings, reports, presentations and other campaign assets.
• Manage timelines, budgets and internal resources to keep multi‑party projects moving.
• Support pitches and proposals for new planning, regeneration and engagement work.
• Coach and support junior colleagues across live accounts and campaigns.

Required profile

• Background in communications, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, PR or a built‑environment agency.
• Understanding of communication’s role in planning and development.
• Comfortable working with planning consultants, developers, local stakeholders and community audiences.
• Strong project‑management ability and capacity to juggle multiple live schemes.
• Confident writing, editing and reviewing materials for diverse audiences.
• Commercial awareness and ability to work to budgets while contributing to account growth.
• Genuine interest in planning, regeneration, place‑making and community impact.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary between £35,000 and £45,000 depending on experience.
• Hybrid working with a Bristol office base.
