Senior Account Manager – Public Sector & Defence

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to lead tech talent and training sales for the Public Sector and Defence. You will manage existing accounts while building new pipelines, balancing relationship growth with new‑logo acquisition.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow an existing portfolio of Public Sector accounts from day one.
• Build a new business pipeline in parallel across both Public Sector and Defence.
• Balance account growth (renewals, expansion, deepening relationships) with new‑logo wins.
• Navigate Public Sector and Defence procurement routes such as G‑Cloud, Crown Commercial Service, DOS and framework call‑offs.
• Prioritise time between farming existing business and hunting new opportunities.

Required profile

• 5+ years in a blended new‑business and account‑management role selling recruitment, staffing, RPO, MSP, consulting or training into the UK Public Sector and/or Defence.
• Ability to run a live book while building a new pipeline without one crowding out the other.
• Understanding of how government and Defence purchase headcount and services, including framework procurement and clearance processes.
• Proven capability to open senior doors and retain/expand existing relationships.
• Desire for a role with immediate revenue responsibility and growth potential.
• Commitment to work Monday‑Thursday in the City office (Friday remote).

• Base salary £60,000–£80,000 (dependent on experience) with OTE up to ~£160,000, uncapped commission.
