Senior Accountant – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant on a six‑month fixed‑term contract to join a well‑established business in Salford. The role is hybrid, offering a blend of office and remote work, and requires an immediate start. The successful candidate will support statutory accounts, management reporting and service‑charge budgeting within a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts and coordinate the external audit process.
• Produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis and forecasting.
• Develop and manage service‑charge budgets for existing properties and new developments.
• Review actual versus budgeted costs, investigate variances and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and business‑case financial modelling.
• Partner with budget holders and senior management to analyse performance and inform decisions.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting.
• Deputise for the Finance Lead and contribute to senior‑level reporting.
• Mentor and develop junior colleagues to foster a collaborative team culture.

Required profile

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Qualified by Experience (QBE) accountant.
• Proven UK management accounting experience covering the responsibilities above.
• Experience supporting audits, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering.
• Immediate availability and full right to work in the UK.
