Senior Accountant (ACA/ACCA qualified)

About the role

Our client, a leading chartered accountancy firm in Central London, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant. You will work directly with a diverse portfolio of clients across sectors such as health & beauty, luxury retail, media, property and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for assigned client portfolios.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships.
• Assist clients with cash‑flow management and budgeting.
• Complete and review VAT returns and prepare tax returns.
• Respond to day‑to‑day client queries and deliver ad‑hoc project work.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to junior members of the accounts team.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Current role as Accounts Senior or Senior Accountant in a small/medium firm.
• Demonstrated ability to work client‑facing and manage a varied client base.

Required skills

• Preparation of year‑end accounts under FRS 102.
• VAT return preparation and review.
• Tax return preparation.
• Statutory accounts preparation for various entity types.
• Cash‑flow budgeting and financial analysis.
