Senior Accountant – Bristol

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established services business in Bristol to recruit a Senior Accountant. This full‑time role offers a supportive, collaborative environment for an accountant with recent UK practice experience who wants to progress their career.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for limited‑company clients
• Prepare and compute Corporation Tax returns
• Prepare Personal Tax returns
• Liaise directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
• Submit accounts to Companies House
• Support clients with general accounting and taxation queries
• Manage a personal portfolio of clients and meet deadlines
• Review work completed by junior team members (senior level)
• Coach, mentor and provide technical support to junior colleagues

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑3 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Part‑qualified ACA or ACCA (minimum)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and client‑relationship abilities
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload

Required skills

• Proficiency with cloud accounting software, preferably Xero
• Experience using TaxCalc or similar tax software
