Senior Accountant – Client Management Role

About the role

Due to continued growth and a rapidly expanding client base, we are seeking multiple Senior Accountants / Client Managers to join a modern Chartered Accountancy practice in Brighton. The role offers ownership of a varied portfolio of SME clients, business owners, charitable organisations and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of clients and act as the primary contact for all accounting and taxation queries.
• Produce statutory accounts and corporation tax returns in line with current regulations.
• Prepare accurate and timely management accounts to support client decision‑making.
• Complete personal tax returns for a diverse client base.
• Deliver proactive commercial advice and strategic support to business owners.
• Manage company secretarial responsibilities as required.
• Support, mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Collaborate closely with fellow managers to ensure high‑quality client delivery.
• Assist with R&D and Creative Industry tax relief claims.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and lead onboarding of new clients.

Required profile

• Nearly or fully ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong prior experience in a UK accountancy firm.
• Residence within a one‑hour commute of Brighton.
