Senior Accountant – Exeter

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a well‑established accountancy practice in Exeter. You will work closely with the firm’s managers and partners, providing comprehensive year‑end, tax and VAT services for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Manage personal and corporate tax compliance, including VAT returns.
• Oversee bookkeeping and broader accounting services.
• Develop client relationships and take on increasing management responsibilities.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

Required profile

• Qualified or part/finalist in AAT, ATT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience at senior accountant level within an accountancy practice.
• Strong background in accounts, tax and general practice service delivery.
• Motivated to progress in a growing, chartered firm.
