Senior Accountant

About the role

LUCA FALONI is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its Finance team in Kensington, London. This role offers the chance to own key accounting activities within a fast‑growing international luxury fashion business, working closely with finance leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes, delivering accurate and timely financial reports.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, supporting schedules and variance analysis.
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, investigating discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring smooth cash flow.
• Manage bank reconciliations, cash reporting and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Prepare VAT returns and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide documentation for annual audits.
• Strengthen financial controls and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Partner with Retail, Operations, E‑commerce and other departments to deliver financial analysis and guidance.
• Coach and review the work of junior team members.

Required profile

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or final stages of qualification.
• Strong experience in financial or management accounting, preferably within retail, fashion or e‑commerce.
• Proven expertise in month‑end processes, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Solid understanding of financial controls and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels.
