Senior Accountant – Practice Culture & Clear Progression

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a thriving accountancy practice in Suffolk. You will support managers and partners across a varied client portfolio, preparing financial documents that drive business improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory year‑end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, groups, LLPs, charities and other not‑for‑profit organisations.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and delivering tailored advice.
• Ensure assignments are completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.
• Prepare and review self‑assessment tax returns, corporation tax returns and VAT returns.
• Support and mentor trainee accountants, sharing knowledge and encouraging development.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified (or nearing completion of qualification).
• Experience providing accounting and tax services to a diverse client portfolio under UK regulations.
• Enjoy building client relationships and delivering excellent service.
• Proven experience supporting or mentoring junior team members.
• Desire to work for a firm that values people and rewards performance.
