Senior Accountant – South London

About the role

Our client, a family‑run Chartered Certified Accountants and Registered Auditors firm in South London, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support its growing portfolio of business and individual clients. You will work on a variety of accounting and tax assignments, ensuring compliance with UK standards and delivering high‑quality financial advice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory company accounts in line with FRS 105, FRS 102 and FRS 102 1A.
• Compile month‑end and year‑end accounts and supporting schedules for timely reporting.
• Complete and file Corporation Tax Returns (CT600) accurately and on schedule.
• Produce non‑statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and other entities.
• Assist with basic personal tax returns and support inheritance tax matters.
• Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to firm partners.
• Manage client queries, offering professional guidance on accounting and tax compliance.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant or equivalent experience in UK accounting standards.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 105, FRS 102 and FRS 102 1A.
• Experience preparing corporation tax returns and handling VAT, payroll and bookkeeping tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Professional communication skills for direct client interaction.
