Senior Accountant – Year-End, Tax & P11Ds

About the role
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a well‑established accountancy practice in Leigh‑on‑Sea. You will work independently on year‑end accounts and support a varied client portfolio, reporting directly to the Practice Partner.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare year‑end accounts without supervision
- Complete tax computations and support tax compliance
- Prepare P11Ds for clients
- Manage and review nominal ledger accounts
- Work across multiple accounting software packages (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
- Support the Practice Partner with client queries, reporting and technical issues
Required profile
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Extensive experience managing nominal ledger accounts
- Minimum 3 + years in an accountancy practice (preferred)
- Solid understanding of year‑end processes and tax compliance
- Qualified, part‑qualified or QBE status
