Senior Accounting Manager

About the role

Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment is partnering with an innovative business to hire a Senior Accounting Manager for its finance team in London. The role offers a hands‑on opportunity to oversee balance‑sheet integrity, strengthen controls and support month‑end and year‑end close processes while working closely with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Own balance‑sheet reviews, reconciliations and ensure overall integrity.
• Support and oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Maintain and enhance financial controls across key accounting areas.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
• Support SOX compliance, conduct controls testing and maintain documentation.
• Review and challenge accounting treatments for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide guidance to the wider finance team on technical accounting matters.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in accounting, financial controls and balance‑sheet management.
• Good working knowledge of SOX and internal control frameworks.
• Confident communicator with ability to work across the business.
• High attention to detail and proactive, hands‑on approach.
