Senior Accounts Assistant (Finance)

About the role
We are supporting a leading UK media and entertainment business in their search for a Senior Accounts Assistant. The role sits within a growing finance team and offers a solid foundation in operational finance with clear progression prospects.
Key responsibilities
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain the fixed‑asset register.
- Reconcile loan accounts, ensuring interest repayments and balances are recorded accurately.
- Manage the full accounts payable process, including payment runs, statement reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.
- Handle petty cash and company cards, reviewing direct debits and lease schedules for accuracy.
- Support month‑end activities such as journal preparation, reconciliations and documentation.
- Assist with accounts receivable as needed and provide general administrative support to the finance department.
Required profile
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounts or finance.
- Preferable exposure to the media and entertainment sectors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
