Senior Accounts Manager – Accountancy Practice

About the role

Wallace White is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Manager to join its growing independent practice in Glasgow. The role offers a high‑visibility leadership position, working directly with owner‑managed businesses across a range of sectors and helping shape the firm’s advisory growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of owner‑managed business clients as the primary point of contact.
• Review statutory accounts, VAT returns and management reporting prepared by the wider team.
• Support clients with corporate and personal tax matters alongside internal specialists.
• Deliver proactive commercial advice and build long‑term relationships.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Coordinate workflow across multiple assignments to ensure high service standards.
• Assist partners in driving an advisory‑led approach and contribute to firm growth.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Significant experience in an accountancy practice, preferably in a client‑facing managerial role.
• Proven ability to manage or review the work of junior staff.
• Confident communicator with strong client‑relationship skills.
