Senior Adviser – Executive Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Adviser – Executive Operations to support the Chief Executive of the RNLI. In this newly created, high‑profile position you will help the charity deliver its 2040 strategic ambitions by ensuring the Chief Executive’s Office runs efficiently and with clear focus.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team to drive delivery of the RNLI 5‑Year Plan.
• Integrate operational, business and engagement commitments of the Chief Executive and Executive Team.
• Provide strategic advice to the Chief Executive, draft correspondence and exercise delegated authority where appropriate.
• Lead governance, decision‑making and correspondence management processes for the Executive Team.
• Oversee the Executive Assistant function to ensure consistent, high‑quality support.
• Collaborate with the Senior Adviser – Executive Engagement to build a resilient Chief Executive’s Office.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior advisory or operations roles within large organisations.
• Strong understanding of governance, strategic planning and organisational performance.
• Excellent judgement, discretion and ability to anticipate issues.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment.
