Senior AI Engineer – Embedded Innovation Squad

About the role

As a Senior AI Engineer you will join an embedded Innovation Squad that turns internal AI experiments into reusable, production‑ready solutions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, translating business needs into robust software designs while mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Build prototypes, proofs of concept and ship agentic AI solutions to production standards.
• Design and implement retrieval pipelines, tool‑augmented agents and agentic workflows.
• Define and implement observability, logging, instrumentation and alerting for AI systems.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise workflows via APIs and data pipelines.
• Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
• Maintain high code quality, documentation and reusable reference implementations.
• Pair‑program with squad members and transfer knowledge to host‑function teams.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with AI‑enabled or data‑intensive systems.
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Comfortable working autonomously, delivering in short, time‑boxed cycles.
• Experience with CI/CD, modern SDLC, TDD and code review practices.

Required skills

• Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP cloud services.
• Prompt engineering, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, agentic AI workflows.
• Working with relational, columnar and vector stores.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment.
