Senior AI Engineer

About the role

Join an Embedded Innovation Squad to turn AI experimentation into validated, reusable solutions. You will work on difficult research, design, and software development assignments, collaborating with internal stakeholders to translate requests into workable AI‑enabled products.

Key responsibilities

• Build prototypes, proofs of concept and ship agentic AI solutions to production standards.
• Implement and test retrieval pipelines, tool‑augmented agents and agentic workflows.
• Contribute to evaluation, observability and guardrails for agentic systems, including logging and alerting.
• Instrument solutions to capture outcome data against established baselines.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise workflows and systems via APIs and data pipelines.
• Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
• Complete moderately complex bug fixes and flag technical risks early.
• Apply CI/CD, modern SDLC, TDD and code‑review practices.
• Maintain high code quality, documentation and reusable patterns.
• Pair‑program with squad members and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with AI‑enabled or data‑intensive systems.
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Comfortable working autonomously, pushing back on unclear requirements and delivering in short, time‑boxed cycles.

• AI SDKs, Prompt engineering, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
• Tool‑augmented agents, agentic workflows, memory and tool usage
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
• CI/CD, modern SDLC, TDD, code review
• Relational, columnar and vector data stores
