Senior Analyst – Data Science & Operational Analysis

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Senior Analyst to join a small, agile team delivering high‑impact data and operational analysis services to UK Defence clients. The role combines consultancy, model development and stakeholder engagement in a hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply operational analysis techniques to generate actionable insights for senior decision‑makers.
• Develop, test and maintain analytical models and tools using Agile methods.
• Collect, clean, structure, analyse and visualise data from multiple sources.
• Produce internal and external reports, presentations and recommendations.
• Lead day‑to‑day project delivery, collaborating closely with clients and internal consultants.
• Balance office work, occasional client‑site visits and remote work.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operational analysis and data science, preferably within the UK MoD or Defence sector.
• Self‑starter with strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and presenting findings.
• Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including VBA.
• Data analysis and data science techniques.
• Operational analysis approaches.
