Senior Analyst, Structured Finance

About the role

S&P Global Ratings is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Structured Finance and Alternate Investment Funds practice. The analyst will evaluate credit risk of securitized products and fund structures, delivering independent opinions that guide issuers and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day guidance and coaching to Research Assistants and Rating Analysts, building capability in credit analysis, data discipline and tooling.
• Codify standard work processes to ensure consistency, scalability and repeatable insights across the team.
• Create reusable AI‑enabled assets and propose lightweight automations that free capacity for deeper human analysis.
• Analyse underlying asset performance, structural protections, cash‑flow mechanics and downside stress scenarios.
• Produce credit opinions on complex instruments, covering performance trends, issuance conditions and the role of AI in origination and securitisation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in structured finance, securitisation or related credit analysis.
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, cash‑flow modelling and stress‑testing methodologies.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and promote disciplined, values‑led behaviours.
