Senior Analytical Technician

About the role
SRG is partnering with a leading scientific start‑up in Scotland to hire a Senior Analytical Technician for its production department. The role is full‑time, permanent and operates on a rotating shift pattern that includes evenings and weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, operate and maintain analytical instruments such as UPLC, NMR and TLC.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with instrumentation, including LC‑MS.
- Develop and optimise analytical processes to improve consistency and efficiency.
- Handle, process and interpret analytical data to support production decisions.
- Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues on analytical tasks.
Required profile
- Prior experience in an industrial analytical chemistry laboratory.
- Degree‑level qualification in a relevant scientific discipline (equivalent experience considered).
- Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts as required.
Required skills
- UPLC operation and maintenance.
- NMR spectroscopy.
- TLC techniques.
- LC‑MS troubleshooting.
