Senior Analytics Engineer

About the role

Monzo is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to help shape its data warehouse and enable data‑driven decision making across the business. You will work closely with product, engineering and data science teams to build high‑quality downstream data models and optimise the performance of the warehouse.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust downstream data models in BigQuery that support reporting, machine‑learning, financial and regulatory use cases.
• Identify and implement optimisation opportunities to reduce complexity and cost of the data warehouse.
• Define and enforce best‑practice standards for data payload design, logical modelling, implementation, metadata management and testing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to establish consistent ways of working with data across Monzo.
• Monitor data quality, investigate issues and drive continuous improvement of the warehouse.

Required profile

• Several years of experience building data models and pipelines in a cloud data‑warehouse environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on performance, scalability and data quality.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with product, engineering and data‑science stakeholders.
