Senior Architect – Education Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Architect to lead our education‑focused projects. Based in our London (or Birmingham) studio, you will shape learning environments for schools and colleges, working within a top‑ranked UK practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design from concept through construction for educational facilities.
• Develop innovative, functional spaces that meet client brief and regulatory standards.
• Produce high‑quality visualisations and technical drawings using ArchiCAD or Revit and the Adobe Suite.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and internal teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
• Apply HBN/HTM guidance, building regulations and construction technology knowledge to guarantee compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years post‑qualification experience in a UK architecture practice.
• Proven track record delivering educational projects.
• Strong design sensibility and ability to manage projects independently and within a team.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• ArchiCAD or Revit proficiency.
• Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) competence.
• Understanding of BIM processes.
• Knowledge of HBN/HTM guidance and UK building regulations.
