Senior Architect – Residential Projects (London)

About the role

An established multidisciplinary architecture and design consultancy is looking for a Senior Architect to lead the delivery of complex residential projects in London. The role focuses on higher‑risk buildings and external wall remediation, providing technical leadership from concept through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of residential projects through all RIBA work stages.
• Manage client relationships as the main point of contact.
• Oversee project programmes, resources, budgets and quality standards.
• Produce and review design, technical and construction information.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, Building Safety legislation and industry standards.
• Monitor project risks, programme and commercial performance, including fees and WIP.
• Contribute to fee proposals, bids and business development activities.
• Present designs and technical solutions to clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practice across the studio.
• Drive continuous improvements in technical quality, design standards and project delivery.

Required profile

• ARB‑registered architect with substantial UK post‑qualification experience.
• Strong background delivering residential projects valued between £5 m–£50 m.
• Experience on Higher Risk Buildings (HRBs) and external wall remediation projects.
• Excellent technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Building Safety requirements.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage projects through construction.
• Commercially aware with experience managing project programmes, fees and resources.
• Excellent communication and client‑management skills.
• Proactive leader with a collaborative approach and passion for mentoring.
