Senior Assistant Buyer

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑minded Senior Assistant Buyer to join our fast‑growing buying team in Central London. You will own the full product lifecycle, from concept through sourcing, development and production, working on high‑volume projects for beauty accessories and home‑lifestyle brands.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end buying and product development for multiple categories.
• Collaborate with design, sales and internal stakeholders to launch new products.
• Source and develop relationships with suppliers in the Far East, Europe and Turkey.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms.
• Create detailed product specifications and purchase orders.
• Monitor critical paths to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Work with technical and quality teams to meet compliance standards.
• Maintain multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
• Build client relationships and attend meetings as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve ranges and introduce new ideas.
• Support and mentor junior colleagues when appropriate.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of buying or product development experience.
• Proven experience sourcing internationally, especially Far East and Europe.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• Excellent commercial awareness with a balance of quality, cost and delivery.
• Ability to manage several product categories at once.
