Senior Associate – Complex Catastrophic Injury Lawyer

About the role

Keoghs LLP is seeking a Senior Associate to join its market‑leading Complex Injury team in Newcastle. You will work on high‑value catastrophic injury claims, including brain, spinal, amputations and fatal cases, delivering outcomes that matter for clients and insurers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of serious injury claims valued up to £10m+, from instruction through to resolution.
• Advise on liability, quantum and indemnity issues and support multi‑million‑pound litigation.
• Collaborate closely with a Lead Lawyer and build trusted relationships with insurer clients.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, contributing to the firm’s market profile.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with 4–8 years PQE or qualified CILEX lawyer.
• Proven experience on catastrophic or large‑loss injury claims.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
