Senior Associate Engineer – Digital Product Team

About the role

Canada Life UK is looking for a Senior Associate Engineer to join its Digital Product Team. You will work on building and operating customer‑facing digital services, applying a "you build it, you run it" mindset across the full product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver new features for front‑end and back‑end applications.
• Create, maintain and improve automated CI/CD pipelines and test automation suites.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, monitor production systems and implement Site Reliability Engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers and other engineers to ensure high‑quality releases.
• Contribute to observability, logging and performance monitoring strategies.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as a software developer working across the stack.
• Strong interest in operational engineering, SRE and automation.
• Ability to work in a cross‑functional, agile environment.
• Commitment to delivering reliable, maintainable code and supporting it in production.
