Senior Associate, Finance Transformation

About the role

As a Finance Transformation Senior Associate, you will be a key member of Checkout.com’s core Finance team in London. You will help strengthen accounting capabilities and shape the future of financial processes, focusing on building a robust Transactional Ledger and accelerating the financial close.

Key responsibilities

• Support and drive finance transformation workstreams, managing tasks from analysis to implementation.
• Analyse existing accounting processes, identify inefficiencies, and design scalable “to‑be” processes.
• Prepare documentation, support user training, and act as a point of contact during change management.
• Collaborate with local and global finance stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Implement and maintain a control framework that complies with internal policies and IFRS.
• Track and report KPIs to measure transformation success and realise project benefits.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with solid month‑end close and financial control knowledge.
• Proven experience in finance change or process‑improvement projects, preferably in fintech or payments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills across multiple levels.
• Resilient, proactive attitude with the ability to thrive under pressure and navigate ambiguity.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Python (especially Pandas) for data analysis.
• Business Intelligence tools such as Looker or Power BI for visualisation and reporting.
• Ability to work with large, complex datasets.
