Senior Associate – Financial Control

About the role

ClearBank is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Financial Control team in London. The role will support month‑end close, ledger accuracy and regulatory reporting while driving automation and process efficiency. You will work closely with Finance, Treasury, Tax and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Own allocated month‑end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Prepare, review and approve general ledger journals, revenue and expense analyses.
• Perform bank, balance‑sheet and intangible‑asset reconciliations, investigating variances.
• Lead automation initiatives to capture and post accounting entries from core banking systems.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury and auditors to meet reporting and audit requirements.
• Document process changes and maintain robust control frameworks.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience in a regulated banking or fintech environment.
• Proven track record managing month‑end close, ledger controls and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to interpret accounting standards.
• Experience driving process improvements and automation in finance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
