Senior Associate / Lead – Large Loss Claims

About the role

Shape the future of complex injury law at Keoghs as a Senior Associate / Lead Lawyer. You will lead, develop and grow a high‑performing team while managing a stimulating caseload of high‑value claims.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of complex injury lawyers (initially 2 direct reports, with scope to grow).
• Manage a caseload of complex injury claims, primarily road traffic accidents with some EL/PL exposure.
• Handle large loss cases ranging from £250,000 to over £1 million, supported by a Technical Director.
• Advise clients on indemnity, liability, quantum and claims strategy and build relationships with key insurance clients.
• Deliver internal and client training, attend court hearings, trials and settlement conferences.
• Drive team performance through objective setting, regular reviews and development plans.
• Support recruitment, team expansion and ensure compliance with SRA regulations.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with strong defendant road‑traffic‑accident experience.
• Proven track record handling high‑value complex injury claims (£250k‑£1 m+).
• Demonstrated leadership ability to inspire, develop and manage a team.
• Excellent communication, analytical and commercial awareness.

• Defendant RTA experience
