Senior Associate - Non-Contentious Construction

About the role

Achieve Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a leading London law firm for a Senior Associate to join its expanding Construction team. The role focuses on non‑contentious construction matters, advising developers, investors, landlords, contractors and consultants on high‑value projects, with particular expertise in building safety and remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of non‑contentious construction matters from instruction through to completion.
• Draft, review and negotiate construction contracts (including JCT and NEC), professional appointments, development agreements, collateral warranties and performance bonds.
• Advise clients on procurement strategies, risk allocation and project delivery.
• Provide specialist construction advice on commercial property and development transactions.
• Handle building safety and remediation issues, including matters under the Building Safety Act.
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver commercially focused legal advice.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Property practice and other departments.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
• Contribute to business development and practice growth.
• Ensure efficient matter management, time recording and billing in line with firm procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification experience in non‑contentious construction law.
• Extensive experience drafting and negotiating construction documentation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of building safety legislation and remediation work.
• Proven ability to manage complex, high‑value projects and advise on contractual risk.
