Senior Associate - Private Equity Compliance & Regulatory Management Support

About the role

As a Senior Associate in Private Equity Compliance & Regulatory Management Support, you will work within EY's Region and Service Line Operations COE Support team. You will help ensure that engagements with major UK‑headquartered private equity groups meet SEC, EU, UK and EY independence regulations, providing accurate data and insights to protect the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Support Quarterly Independence Summary Memo (ISM) procedures, reviewing initial documents and ensuring compliance for each PE account.
• Set up and maintain account structures, reconciling systems to reflect accurate regulatory coverage.
• Monitor press and industry announcements for acquisitions and disposals across focus accounts.
• Support public and private company independence procedures for acquisitions.
• Answer general independence queries related to PE accounts and engage with stakeholders.
• Collate action points from leadership meetings and drive their execution.
• Coordinate programs and projects, including ad‑hoc initiatives.

Required profile

• Graduate (Business Administration, Information and Data Science) with 3‑6 years of professional services experience.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Business acumen and adaptability to changing client expectations.
• High degree of professionalism and integrity.

• Advanced Excel reporting and PowerPoint.
• Power BI, Alteryx, PowerApps and Power Automate.
• SharePoint content management.
• Secondary research tools: Google, Factiva, Company Inforgator, BoardEx, OneSource.
• MS Office suite.
