Senior Authorised Engineer – 11kV SAP Services

About the role

Freedom, part of the NG Bailey Group, is seeking a Senior Authorised Engineer (Senior Authorised Person) to deliver SAP services on framework contracts across the North West. The role focuses on changing ground‑mounted 11kV plant and underground cables within ENW and SPEN DNO areas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide SAP services on framework contracts for 11kV and above installations.
• Replace and modify ground‑mounted 11kV plant and underground cable systems.
• Carry out secondary switchgear changes, including work on transformers, RMUs, 11kV panel boards and LV boards.
• Cover the North West England geographical area, ensuring compliance with DNO standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering the duties listed above.
• Previous work on DNO networks, preferably Electricity North West.
• Authorised to work on 11kV SAP systems.
• Full UK driving licence (required).
• Asbestos UKARTA training (desirable).
• Confined spaces training (desirable).
