Senior Automation Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a respected engineering organisation to recruit a Senior Automation Engineer. You will lead testing activities across complex software‑hardware systems, develop and maintain automation frameworks, and ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex functional, regression, integration, performance and non‑functional testing across integrated systems.
• Design, enhance and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts.
• Define and influence testing strategy, standards and best practices.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for internal engineering teams and external stakeholders.
• Support customer‑facing project delivery and represent the organisation during formal acceptance testing.
• Mentor junior testing team members and promote testing discipline.
• Identify opportunities for automation coverage expansion and drive continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a software testing professional in complex technical environments.
• Strong understanding of modern testing methodologies and best practices.
• Comfortable working with both Windows‑based and web‑based applications.
• Experience with integrated software‑hardware systems and customer‑facing testing engagements.
