Senior Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join a fast‑growing AI company building autonomous agentic systems for manufacturing and supply‑chain enterprises. Based in London, you will work hybrid (3‑4 days onsite) alongside the founding engineer (ex‑Meta) and CTO (ex‑OpenAI) to turn complex data pipelines into production‑ready AI‑enabled services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance backend services in Python.
• Build and operate scalable data‑processing and integration pipelines using Kubernetes, Docker and Kafka.
• Collaborate directly with enterprise customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions quickly.
• Define architecture, write infrastructure as code with Terraform, and manage deployments on AWS.
• Contribute to AI‑native product features, including LLM‑powered components.

Required profile

• Proven commercial experience building production‑grade systems in Python.
• Hands‑on experience with large‑scale data processing, distributed systems or complex integrations.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear, production‑ready solutions.
• Comfortable interacting with customers and handling end‑to‑end ownership.
• Motivation to work in an early‑stage, high‑growth environment.
