Senior Backend Engineer (Kotlin/Go) – London

About the role

You will join a fast‑growing fintech unicorn building core financial infrastructure used by millions of users worldwide. Based in London, this hybrid position (three days a week in the office) focuses on designing, implementing and operating high‑volume distributed backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend systems using Kotlin and Go.
• Own services end‑to‑end, from architecture and implementation to production monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate in small autonomous teams to shape reliability and performance of multi‑market platforms.
• Deploy and manage cloud‑native workloads on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Work with event‑driven architectures using Kafka.

• Senior‑level backend engineer with a proven track record of solving complex distributed systems challenges at scale.
