Senior Backend Engineer – Mobile Monetisation (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a fast‑growing monetisation squad of a global consumer mobile platform. The role is fully remote (UK or Europe) and sits at the heart of subscriptions, payments, pricing and entitlement systems, driving the company’s revenue engine.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services that power subscription and billing workflows.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure high availability, observability and performance of distributed systems.
• Contribute to the squad’s engineering excellence through code reviews, testing and best‑practice adoption.

Required profile

• Strong experience building production‑grade backend systems.
• Proven track record with subscription, billing, payments or other monetisation‑related platforms.
• Background in consumer‑facing or mobile products at scale.
• Product‑mindset and ability to work cross‑functionally.
